Gold Frog slot game is a Chinese themed slot game that was recently released by gaming giant, NetEnt.

The Gold Money Frog slot is a 5 reel and 25 payline game set to the backdrop of Asian temples and glowing lotus flowers. Spinning in on the reels are golden frogs, dragons, bridges adorned with pink flowers, a kite and jack through ace cards.

Being a prominent developer, NetEnt has done a tremendous job as far as the graphics are concerned.

Gold Money Frog offers a total of three progressive jackpots and the game has the potential to earn you some good money.

With the game offering 5x3 reels, you also get 25 fixed pay lines.

Wagering requires a maximum of $50, which could potentially give you a payout of $100,000.

Gold Money Frog Games

Although the slot comes with three progressive jackpots, it has a terrible RTP of 92.96%. Gold Money Frog has medium volatility which doesn’t help much.

For the features, you get free spins (comes with 3x multipliers), game scatters as well as a Bonus Wheel.

Betting and Prizes

There is potential for high payout considering that the slot has three progressive jackpots in addition to its own 2,000x reward.

However, the high payout potential is quashed by the insanely low RTP of 92.96%, a big shock from a prominent developer like NetEnt.

Gold Money Frog Slot Features

Gold

The slot game comes with a number of special features that I personally didn’t find impressive.

Wild symbols are present on this slot and they appear in the form of a logo placed against a red background.

Gold Money Frog Animal Crossing

The features can be sued to form a winning combination provided you are able to land them in the correct position.

There is also the Lantern symbol which represents the scatter and is present on all the game’s reels.

If you manage to land it 3 to 5 times, Gold Money Frog will award you with 10 to 30 free spins.

If you manage to land multiple scatters, the slot will award you with up to 400x the total stake.

In the free spins, a 3x multiplier is applied to every single win that you manage to get.

To get access to the slot’s progressive jackpots, you will need to use the special bonus game, and this is possible through the Bonus Wheel.

After a few spins, this wheel will award you with either the Minor jackpot, Super Jackpot, Major Jackpot, or alternatively the slot’s regular cash price that amounts to 100 coins.

Theme & Design

Most of the features found on Gold Money Frog are the usual ones that we see on most games with a Chinese theme.

Unfortunately, NetEnt has done very little to make this slot unique in any way. Symbols include several logos that represent feature symbols, gold frogs, a kite, a bridge as well as royals.

Conclusion

Gold Money Frog may excite many players with its many progressive jackpots, however, there is very little to celebrate especially when it comes to its RTP which is way too below the market.

A three-legged money toad

The Jin Chan (Chinese: 金蟾; pinyin: jīn chán; lit. 'Golden Toad'), also called Chan Chu (Chinese: 蟾蜍; pinyin: chánchú; lit. 'Toad') or 'Zhaocai Chan Chu' (Chinese: 招财蟾蜍; pinyin: zhāocái chánchú; lit. 'wealth-beckoning toad'), is most commonly translated as 'Money Toad' or 'Money Frog'. It represents a popular Feng Shui charm for prosperity.

This mythical creature is said to appear during the full moon, near houses or businesses that will soon receive good news (most of the time, the nature of this good news is understood to be wealth-related).

The money toad is associated with Liu Haichan, as the sennin's animal companion.

The Jin Chan is usually depicted as a bullfrog with red eyes, flared nostrils and only one hind leg (for a total of three legs), sitting on a pile of traditional Chinese cash, with a coin in its mouth. On its back, it often displays seven diamond spots. According to Feng Shui beliefs, Jin Chan helps attract and protect wealth, and guards against bad luck. Because it symbolizes the flow of money, Feng Shui lore insists that a Jin Chan statue should not be positioned facing the main door ('outward'). It also 'should never be kept in the bathroom, bedroom, dining room or kitchen'.[1]
